An introduction to the PostNuke .8x theme engine :: Themes (aka Xanthia 3.0 Theme Engine or XTE).
This engine is the evolution of the Xanthia theme engine supplied with PostNuke .7x releases from .750 onwards. The engine began life as the 3rd party Encompass theme system for PostNuke .71x and laterly Envolution. The engine was then incorporated into PostNuke as the Xanthia theme engine in version .750.
The new version of the engine uses the same underlying smarty templating system but features an overhauled and streamlined administration interface. All aspects of the theming engine have been fully incporated into the core PostNuke system resulting in a less ‘dis-jointed’ feel to theme administration.
